The Last Surprise of Love at the Moment of Death, Volume 35 - March 22, 1938

“Now, My daughter, until the guilt starts in the creature, everything is My Will; and as the guilt begins, so the tears and Pains of this Celestial Mother begin.  O, how It sadly misses Its child.  But It doesn’t leave him, Its Love binds It to Live in that creature to give her Life, and although It feels Its Divine Life as if suffocated, and maybe not even known or loved, the Love of My Will is so Great that It follows her life, regardless of any offense, to make a Surprise of Love and save Its child.  Our Goodness and Our Love are such that We use all the ways and all the means to pull him away from sin—to save him; and if We do not succeed during his life, We make the last Surprise of Love at the moment of his death.  You must know that, in that moment, We give the last sign of Love to the creature, providing her with our Graces, Love and Goodness, and placing so many Tendernesses of Love as to soften and win the hardest hearts.  When the creature finds herself between life and death—between the time that is about to end, and the Eternity that is about to begin—almost in the act of leaving her body, I, your Jesus, make Myself seen, with an Amiability that Enraptures, with a Sweetness that chains and sweetens the bitterness of life, especially in that extreme moment.  Then, with My Gaze, I look at her, but with so much Love as to pull from her an act of contrition—one act of Love, one adhesion to My Will.

“In that moment of disillusion, in seeing—in touching with her hands how much We Loved her, and do Love her, the creature feels so much pain that she repents for not having loved Us; she recognizes Our Will as Principle and Completion of her life and, as satisfaction, she accepts her death, to accomplish one act of Our Will.  In fact, you must know that if the creature did not do even one Act of the Will of God, the doors of Heaven would not be opened; she would not be recognized as Heiress of the Celestial Fatherland, and the Angels and the Saints could not admit her in their midst—nor would she want to enter, being aware that it does not belong to her.  Without Our Will there is no Sanctity and no Salvation.  How many are saved by virtue of this sign of Our Love, with the exception of the most perverted and obstinate; although even following the long path of Purgatory would be more convenient for them.  The moment of death is Our Daily Catch—the finding of the lost man.”

Then, He added:  “My daughter, the moment of death is the time of disillusion.  In that point, all things present themselves, one after the other, to say:  ‘Good-bye, the earth is over for you; now Eternity begins for you... It happens to the creature just as when she is locked inside a room and someone says to her:  ‘Behind this room there is another room, in which there is God, Heaven, Purgatory, Hell; in sum—the Eternity.’  But she cannot see anything of these things.  She hears them being asserted by others; but those who say them cannot see them either, so they speak in a way that is almost not credible; not giving great importance to making all their words believed as reality—as something certain. 

“So, one day the walls fall down, and she can see with her own eyes what they had told her before.  She sees her God and Father, Who Loved her with Great Love; the Gifts that He had given to her, one by one; and all the broken Rights of Love that she owed Him.  She sees how her life belonged to God, not to herself.  Everything passes before her:  Eternity, Paradise, Purgatory, and Hell—the earth running away; the pleasures turning their back on her.  Everything disappears; the only thing that remains present to her is in that room with fallen walls:  the Eternity.  What a change for the poor creature!

“My Goodness is such, wanting everyone saved, that I allow the falling of these walls when the creatures find themselves between life and death—at the moment in which the soul exits the body to enter Eternity—so that they may do at least one act of contrition and of Love for Me, recognizing My Adorable Will upon them.  I can say that I give them one hour of Truth, in order to rescue them.  O, if all knew My Industries of Love, that I perform in the last moment of their life, so that they may not escape from My more than Paternal Hands—they would not wait for that moment, but they would love Me all their life.”

Fight for the Kingdom

It is only when our dear Lord chooses to reveal hidden mysteries from us that we receive understanding, even though we may have read something many times over and did not see it with the eyes of our souls but only the eyes of our bodies.  It was only this morning  while contemplating what I had recently written from Volume 20 (Book of Heaven) that I in a tiny way understand what Jesus had showed me and told me in the past, which I will try to relate to you now.

From my notes:
On Nov. 1, 2013, I was in prayer just before Mass began and I experienced something that is impossible to explain, but I will just say what I saw interiorly:  I saw someone before me and I was trying to pull something out of his hands.  It seemed as though I were fighting with this person for whatever it was that I had been trying to get, and that I became very strong in fighting for it.  After receiving Holy Communion, I saw the entire earth in my hands and I offered it to God, loving Him and thanking Him for myself and for all, for all that He has given to us in the earth and in the entire universe.  I was praying the rounds of Creation. 

What I now understand from this experience on Nov. 1 is exactly what Jesus tells us in Volume 20 – that we must fight Him for this Kingdom to come on earth.

Jesus tells Luisa in Volume 20 that we must “fight in order to win the Kingdom of the Supreme Fiat” and that it is “the holiest fight that can exist; it is the most just and rightful battle that can be fought.”  He goes on to tell her, “I fight when I manifest to you the knowledges about my eternal Fiat.  So, each saying, each knowledge, each simile about It is one fight and one battle that I make with you in order to win your will, put it at its place, and call it, almost by dint of fighting, into the order of the Kingdom of my Divine Will…”  “Each one of your acts done in my Will is a fight that you make with Me.  In each round you do through all created things, to unite yourself to all the acts my Will does in all Creation, you call all Creation to wage battle in order to win my Kingdom. “

"Be you therefore perfect..."

 “Be you therefore perfect, as also your heavenly Father is perfect.”  Matthew 5:48

How is it possible to be perfect in this world?  There is only one way, and that is through offering everything to our Heavenly Father through the Sacred Heart of His Son, Jesus, and to Jesus through the Immaculate Heart of Mary.  It is only in this way that our actions become perfect in the eyes of God and we become perfect as our “heavenly Father is perfect.”

On May 7, 2010, Jesus told a Benedictine Monk, “I do not ask for perfection from those whom I have chosen to be My friends; I ask only that they give Me their imperfection and the burden of their sins, and allow Me to do for them what, of themselves, they are incapable of doing.”  He goes on to say, “Did I not say to My Apostles on the night before I suffered, “Without Me, you can do nothing?”  Why is this word of Mine so often forgotten?  It is a word of immense power for the healing and liberation of souls because, understood rightly, it obliges them to run to Me in every necessity of body, mind, or spirit, and to allow Me to be their Savior, their Physician, and their God.”  (“In Sinu Jesu – When Heart Speaks to Heart”)

And through Luisa Piccarreta in the Book of Heaven, Jesus tells us, “It is said in the Holy Gospel: ‘Be perfect as your Father in Heaven is perfect’ - no less; it is also added that no one will enter the Kingdom of Heaven if he is not similar to the image** of the Son of God; and many other things. About all these, no one says that they have been exalted too much, and that these are things not conforming to truths spoken by my very mouth. Only because to you I said that I wanted to compare you to the Virgin - to make you Her faithful copy, I have exalted you too much? So, comparing those to Me was not exalting them, nor did anyone raise any doubt or difficulty; but then, comparing to the Virgin – that’s too much exaltation. This means that they have not understood well the mission of the knowledge of my Will. Indeed, I repeat to you that I not only place you near Her as Her little daughter, on Her maternal lap, that She may guide you, instruct you on how you must imitate Her, to become Her faithful copy by always doing the Divine Will; so that, from Her lap, you may pass onto the lap of the Divinity. In fact, the mission of my Will is eternal, and it is precisely the mission of Our Celestial Father, who wants, commands, expects nothing else but that His Will be known and loved, that It be done on earth as It is in Heaven. So you, making this eternal mission your own and imitating the Celestial Father, must want nothing else for yourself and for all but that my Will be known, loved and fulfilled. And besides, when it is the creature who exalts herself, one should think about it; but when she remains at her place and I exalt her, all is permissible to Me – making one reach wherever I want, and the way I want. Therefore, trust Me and do not be concerned.”

**Oct. 12, 2014:  I had a dream that I was looking at a beautiful picture of Jesus and said to someone standing near me, “What a beautiful picture of Jesus.”  Then I heard said, “There is a difference between a picture and an image. A picture is not an image – an image is a reflection.”

Fire of Love

This morning during Adoration, I had been reading Vol. 13, Jan. 14, 1922 and was reading about how Jesus gave Luisa a vision of the Most Holy Trinity.  Jesus told Luisa, “If anyone wanted to enter, it would happen to him as to a person who wanted to enter into a great fire: not having sufficient heat and power to face this fire, he would be consumed by the fire.  Therefore, being extinguished, he would never be able to say either how much or what kind of heat that fire contained.”

As I read this, I immediately thought about years ago when Jesus said to me, “Let your heart be consumed by the heat of the fire…”  I did not want to ask Jesus about this as I had thought to myself that it must have been my imagination years ago thinking that He had told me that and a thought came to me as to how many other things I imagined Him saying to me that were just my own thoughts.  I cannot explain in words how this made me feel other than to say that my heart sank! 

Then while looking through my book trying to find a prayer that Luisa prayed in order to repeat her words, I opened to Vol. 11, Apr. 10, 1913 and read, “My love is fire, but not like material fire which destroys things and reduces them to ashes.  My fire vivifies and perfects; and if it burns and consumes anything, it is all that is not holy….”

I am so pitiful and have so many doubts.  I understood that even though I refused to ask Jesus what he meant by saying to me, “Let your heart be consumed by the heat of the fire…” because of my doubtful thoughts, I understood that He listened to my heart and answered me!

I just found my notes regarding the above.  This is what I was told by Jesus on March 30, 1995: “Let your heart be consumed by the heat of the fire, then I will make of you a great nation.” The entire story of this experience in in my notes for 3/30/95.

 

Friday Nov. 6, 2015 (First Friday) LB

During prayer before Mass in the morning, a prayer to the Holy Spirit welled up in my heart asking Him to spread His fire of love over the earth.  Immediately after this prayer, I saw interiorly a bright red fire that spread over my entire vision.   It was all that I could see – just a beautiful red fire, unlike a fire that you see burning (like a candle), but a beautiful fire that filled my soul with peace and love.  This feeling remained with me throughout our prayer meeting Friday night and through the entire next day (First Saturday).  My heart so desired to be consumed by this fire – to just disappear into it, even if it meant my death on this earth.  A thought came to me that perhaps I was going to die, and this filled me with joy.  Thank you dear Lord for this great Grace!

Book of Heaven - Vol. 19, May 6, 1926

‘Before’ and ‘after’ do not exist in Our Will, but everything is first act. Therefore, one who lives in Our Will, even if she came as last, comes always before everything. So, it is not the era in which souls come out to the light of time that will be considered, but whether the Life of my Will has been in them as center of life, reigning and dominating in all of their acts, just as It reigns and dominates in the womb of the Divinity. These will be the first; their acts done in Our Will will rise above all the acts of the other creatures, and all will remain behind; therefore these souls will be Our crown.

My Dove

For so many years I have hesitated to write this because of my doubts, but today I understood what it may have meant and so I write:

Just after coming into the Catholic Church many times Jesus called me, “My dove”.  At that time I wondered what it could mean and remember that all I could think of was soap (Dove soap – now I think how silly this was!)  I had never heard this expression before.  Then today I read from an article about Sr. Mildred Neuzil (from the Contemplative Sisters of the Indwelling Trinity):

Catholic Scriptural teaching has always seen the dove as the emblem of the Holy Spirit, understood as Love personified in the inner life of the Trinity itself, and in its smallness of form, as Humility when it comes to the way in which the Spirit works in us and in the world for our sanctification.  His way is hidden, interior, gentle, quiet, meant not to be seen but to be experienced deep within the soul, like a gentle breeze, not in the roar of thunder.”  The dove is a symbol of peace and new life after purification.

Added from Luisa’s writings – Mar. 17, 2018:

Book of Heaven, Nov. 22, 1901 - “My daughter, when the soul does the will of someone else in everything, it is said that she has trust in that person, therefore she lives from someone else’s volition, and not from her own. In the same way, when the soul does my Will in everything, I say that she has faith. So, Divine Will and faith are branches produced by the same trunk; and since faith is simple, faith and Divine Will produce a third branch, that of simplicity. And here is how the soul comes to reacquire the characteristics of a dove in everything. Don’t you want, then, to be my dove?”

Book of Heaven, June 20, 1926 “…you are the tiny little dove that has gone around and around Me, and while I spoke to you about my Will, manifesting to you the knowledges about It, Its goods, Its prodigies and even Its sorrow, you beat your wings, and hurling yourself over the many seeds I placed before you, you grabbed them with your beak and, triumphant, you continued your flight around Me, waiting for more seeds of my Will which I would place before you. And, again, grabbing them with your beak, you nourished yourself and, victorious, continued your flight, manifesting the Kingdom of my Will. So, my prerogatives are yours, my Kingdom and yours are one; we have suffered together – it is right that together we enjoy our conquests.”

Update: Dec. 22, 2018

This morning during Adoration in the Chapel at SJN, I was thinking about this writing (above) that I came across yesterday in my notes and had forgotten about it.  While meditating on the “dove”, a thought came to my mind about the Ark, Noah and the dove and how this relates to us today.  Noah sent the dove out of the ark to circle the earth – our Ark today is Our Blessed Mother – we do all our acts through Her Immaculate Heart and together with the Holy Spirit go out of the Ark bringing our Acts, united with Jesus’ Acts, to all the earth.  As the dove returned to the ark with the olive branch, so we return to Him giving Him our acts of love and reparation and representing the dove returning with an olive branch, He brings us His peace.  I understood so much more, but unable to put into words.

As I was thinking to myself that I would never show this to anyone else, I proceeded to read from Vol. 12 and read:  

“ When you pass over my intimacies with you – over the display of my Love, I fell as though betrayed, because in that display of love, in those intimacies with you , I tried to attract not only you to know Me and love Me more, but also those who would read my intimacies of love, in order to receive more love also from them. …Yes, this is the weakness of all the good, who out of humility, out of fear, deny love to Me and in hiding themselves, they want to hide Me.  Instead, they should manifest my Love, to make Me loved.  So, I remain always the Jesus betrayed in love - even by the good.”

And so, I will come out from hiding and offer this and whatever else Our Lord wishes me to share.  Fiat!

Novena of Abandonment - Fr. Dolindo

 Novena of Abandonment

Day 1

Why do you confuse yourselves by worrying? Leave the care of your affairs to Me and everything will be peaceful. I say to you in truth that every act of true, blind, complete surrender to Me produces the effect that you desire and resolves all difficult situations.

O Jesus, I surrender myself to you, take care of everything! (10 times)

 

 Day 2

Surrender to Me does not mean to fret, to be upset, or to lose hope, nor does it mean offering to Me a worried prayer asking Me to follow you and change your worry into prayer. It is against this surrender, deeply against it, to worry, to be nervous and to desire to think about the consequences of anything. It is like the confusion that children feel when they ask their mother to see to their needs, and then try to take care of those needs for themselves so that their childlike efforts get in their mother’s way. Surrender means to placidly close the eyes of the soul, to turn away from thoughts of tribulation and to put yourself in My care, so that only I act, saying “You take care of it”.

O Jesus, I surrender myself to you, take care of everything! (10 times)

 

 Day 3

How many things I do when the soul, in so much spiritual and material need, turns to Me, looks at Me and says to Me; “You take care of it”, then closes its eyes and rests. In pain you pray for Me to act, but that I act in the way you want. You do not turn to Me, instead, you want me to adapt your ideas. You are not sick people who ask the doctor to cure you, but rather sick people who tell the doctor how to. So do not act this way, but pray as I taught you in the our Father: “Hallowed be thy Name“, that is, be glorified in my need. “Thy kingdom come“, that is, let all that is in us and in the world be in accord with your kingdom. “Thy will be done on Earth as it is in Heaven“, that is, in our need, decide as you see fit for our temporal and eternal life. If you say to Me truly: “Thy will be done“, which is the same as saying: “You take care of it”, I will intervene with all My omnipotence, and I will resolve the most difficult situations.

O Jesus, I surrender myself to you, take care of everything! (10 times)

 

 Day 4

You see evil growing instead of weakening? Do not worry. Close your eyes and say to Me with faith: “Thy will be done, You take care of it.” I say to you that I will take care of it, and that I will intervene as does a doctor and I will accomplish miracles when they are needed. Do you see that the sick person is getting worse? Do not be upset, but close your eyes and say “You take care of it.” I say to you that I will take care of it, and that there is no medicine more powerful than My loving intervention. By My love, I promise this to you.

O Jesus, I surrendered myself to you, take care of everything! (10 times)

 

 Day 5

And when I must lead you on a path different from the one you see, I will prepare you; I will carry you in My arms; I will let you find yourself, like children who have fallen asleep in their mother’s arms, on the other bank of the river. What troubles you and hurts you immensely are your reason, your thoughts and worry, and your desire at all costs to deal with what afflicts you.

O Jesus, I surrender myself to you, take care of everything! (10 times)

 

 Day 6

You are sleepless; you want to judge everything, direct everything and see to everything and you surrender to human strength, or worse—to men themselves, trusting in their intervention—this is what hinders My words and My views. Oh, how much I wish from you this surrender, to help you; and how I suffer when I see you so agitated! Satan tries to do exactly this: to agitate you and to remove you from My protection and to throw you into the jaws of human initiative. So, trust only in Me, rest in Me, surrender to Me in everything.

O Jesus, I surrender myself to you, take care of everything! (10 times)

 

Day 7

I perform miracles in proportion to your full surrender to Me and to your not thinking of yourselves. I sow treasure troves of graces when you are in the deepest poverty. No person of reason, no thinker, has ever perform miracles, not even among the saints. He does divine works whosoever surrenders to God. So don’t think about it any more, because your mind is acute, and for you, it is very hard to see evil and to trust in Me and to not think of yourself. Do this for all your needs, do this all of you and you will see great continual silent miracles. I will take care of things, I promise this to you.

O Jesus, I surrender myself to you, take care of everything! (10 times)

 

 Day 8

Close your eyes and let yourself be carried away on the flowing current of My grace; close your eyes and do not think of the present, turning your thoughts away from the future just as you would from temptation. Repose in Me, believing in My goodness, and I promise you by My love that if you say “You take care of it”, I will take care of it all; I will console you, liberate you and guide you.

O Jesus, I surrender myself to you, take care of everything! (10 times)

 

 Day 9

Pray always in readiness to surrender, and you will receive from it great peace and great rewards, even when I confer on you the grace of immolation, of repentance and of love. Then what does suffering matter? It seems impossible to you? Close your eyes and say with all your soul, “Jesus, you take care of it”. Do not be afraid, I will take care of things and you will bless My name by humbling yourself. A thousand prayers cannot equal one single act of surrender, remember this well. There is no novena more effective than this.

O Jesus, I surrender myself to you, take care of everything!
