[19] There was a certain rich man, who was clothed in purple and fine linen;

Luisa 21^st Hour of the Passion – “They put a purple robe on You…”  “Grant us Its (Divine Will) royal purple which makes us Your true children.”

LB – Priests are clothed in purple in the seasons of Advent and Lent.  They are rich in all that God gives them.  He gives us all of Himself, and the flock is fed from the hands of the Priest.

 

“and feasted sumptuously every day.”

Luisa – “Great God, let your Will descend upon earth, so that sin may take place no more. It is the human will alone that produces so many offenses as to seem to be flooding the earth with sins. Your Will will be the destroyer of all evils.”
