The Seven Sorrows of the Blessed Virgin Mary

“Each day, child, meditate for a few minutes on the Passion of Jesus,

and I promise you that you will be holy.”

MEDITATIONS ON THE SEVEN SORROWS

OF THE BLESSED VIRGIN MARY

(Excerpts taken from Roses and Thorns by Ven. Concepcion Cabrera de Armida (Conchita)

The First Sorrow – The prophecy of Simeon

“…there was a thorn for me in the words of Simeon, which embittered my soul for life; sorrow without a name, hearing that Jesus was destined as the ruin and resurrection of many in Israel, and to be a sign of contradiction.  Simeon said, ‘This child is destined for the ruin and the resurrection of many in Israel, and as a sign of contradiction.’  Then he continued immediately, prophesying, ‘And a sword shall pierce your own soul.’  What sword?  To see my children wander down the slope of vice, scorning the Gospel.  Stay and see if there is a greater sorrow for a mother than the eternal misfortune of her children.

The Second Sorrow – The flight into Egypt

“With what sorrow I recall the night of terror in which an angel told my spouse Joseph that we must flee into Egypt with the Child because Herod sought to kill Him.  It was not Herod who obliged the Son of God to flee, but the son of God who wished to do this.  He did not flee out of fear, but by design; not out of need, but of power.  There He was to seek out sorrow for the continuance of His path to Calvary in a burning desert, through a pagan land, by suffering the hardships of the long road in bad weather, by living in even greater poverty, exiled and without liberty, hiding Himself from men for your salvation.”  “My soul was crushed by the pain of what He was to suffer…”  “The echo of the wailing mothers whose children were sacrificed to save the life of the Savior – those innocent flowers, the first of the martyrs – reached me; my soul was drowned in sorrow…”

The Third Sorrow – The loss of the Child Jesus in the Temple

“What my heart endured at that time no one can conceive.  Can you even imagine Mary without her Jesus, the Virgin Mother without her divine son, the immaculate sheep without her holy Lamb who takes away the sins of the world?  Finally, after three deathly days for my heart, we found Him in the Temple among the doctors who looked upon Him, overwhelmed with His wisdom.”  “I humbled myself although I had no fault.  Night and day I wept and sacrificed myself until I found Him.  You must do the same.”

The Fourth Sorrow – The meeting of Jesus and Mary on the Way of the Cross

“With a glance of my soul, I followed Jesus as He left the house of Herod, in the white robe of a fool, the people hissing and howling with furious delight.  I saw Him as a criminal in the presence of Pilate…”  “I followed Him to the scourging, and, O child of my soul!  I did not die only because I had to be your mother.  O barbarous torment, which I will never forget!”  “Then I saw Him bearing the cross.”  “I saw how He spoke to the women who wept for Him with so much love.”

The Fifth Sorrow – The Crucifixion and Death of Jesus

“And among the throng of people and the crosses and the thieves who accompanied the innocent Lamb, I saw Him mount the hill of Calvary, staggering, and I saw Him extend Himself upon the cross in order to be nailed to it, so that He might attract you to Him when He was raised on high.  Each hammer beat opened a deep wound in my heart.”  “I saw how they nailed His purest hands, which knew only how to bless, and His sacred feet, which became fatigued in seeking you.  Then I heard those last words of life, of pardon, of mercy.  “During the three hours of torment I saw Him agonizing, and at the end, my child, dying without any support other than the cross, the nails, and the thorns.”

The Sixth Sorrow – The taking down of the Body of Jesus from the Cross

“There I stood to defend Him with a multitude of angels, who wept at the outrageous sacrileges…”  I waited until that divine Body would pass from the cross on which He expired to the living cross from which He was born.  And thus it was that I received the holy Body of Jesus in my trembling arms; with all the delicacy of my love, I took the crown of thorns from His blessed brow; and, my soul burning with celestial tenderness, I tried to communicate again some warmth and life to the cold Body of my son, because not even in death did He wish to close His arms so that He could wait for you to throw yourself into them.”

The Seventh Sorrow – The burial of Jesus

“The next farewell was when the stone closed the holy sepulcher and one body and two hearts remained in it: that of Jesus and mine; or, only one, so great a unity had we known!  What terrible sorrow, comprehensible only to a mother!  And I remained alone, alone; because everything was as nothing for me without Jesus.”

 Book of Heaven - December 21, 1903
Effects of the sorrows of the Celestial Mama

…. The Most Holy Virgin told me:  “My daughter, courage along the way of sorrow.  See, these seven suns which come out from within my Heart are my seven sorrows which produced much glory and splendor for Me.  These suns, the fruits of my sorrows, dart continuously through the throne of the Most Holy Trinity which, feeling wounded, sends Me seven channels of grace continuously, making Me the owner; and I dispense them for the glory of all Heaven, for the relief of purging souls, and for the benefit of pilgrim souls.”  While saying this, She disappeared, and I found myself inside myself.

How to Live and Pray in the Divine Will

HOW TO LIVE AND PRAY IN THE DIVINE WILL

How to begin to live in the Divine Will

Do we ask Jesus to pray with us?  Are we praying in the Divine Will at all times by calling the Divine Will into all of our actions, thoughts and words?

Is the first thing we do upon waking in the morning to thank God for the new day, and make our first act of the day an act of love in the Divine Will?

Are we making the Rounds of Creation  (example: thanking God in all His creation, taking this love as our own and offering it back to Him as acts of homage, blessings and praise)?

- the Rounds of Redemption (example: partaking in all the acts of Jesus: His Conception, Birth, etc. , making all His acts our own and returning them to the Holy Trinity, following the acts of Our Lady, or doing the acts of the  Apostles supplementing all they did with the fullness of the Divine Sanctity of the Divine Will as if they had lived in the Divine Will.  Also for all the Popes, Priests, or saints past, present and future, each of the Sacraments, reparations to God for all the lack of obedience, reverence, etc.);

- and the Rounds of Sanctification of man (example: giving our I Love You to the Holy Spirit in all the Sacraments of the Church; following the life of Luisa and the other saints who lived in the Divine Will on earth, re-giving to God the Glory that these souls did in their activities and rounds in the Divine Will.)

Do we ask, “What would Jesus or Mother Mary do in this or that situation?”

Are we always keeping Jesus company in all that we do saying, “Jesus wants to go to work, shop, eat, etc. now.”  (Jesus says, “This is to live in the Divine Will, keeping your Creator company at all times.”)

Are we receiving the Holy Eucharist in the Divine Will?  Jesus told Luisa,  “When I instituted the Eucharistic Sacrament and communicated the Apostles, I communicated Myself in the Will of the Father.  And with this, not only did I repair all, but finding in the Divine Will the Immensity and the All-Seeingness of everything and of everyone, I therefore embraced all and communicated all.  And seeing that many would not have taken part in the Sacrament, and the Father offended because they did not want to receive Life, I gave to the Father the satisfaction and the Glory as if all had received Holy Communion, giving to the Father for each one, the satisfaction and the Glory of a Divine Life.  You also: receive Communion in My Will, repeat that which I did, and thus not only will you repair all, but you will give Me to all as I intended to give Myself to all and you will give Me the Glory as if all had communicated.  My Heart is moved upon seeing that the creature – unable to give Me anything of itself that is worthy of Me – takes the things that are Mine, makes them its own, imitates the manner in which I did them, and to please Me gives them to Me.”

Are we making our confession in the Divine Will?  (Making reparation for our sins and the sins of all!)

Before we go the bed at night, do we bring all creatures to Jesus to make reparation for all who do not rest in Him?  Do we invite all the angels and saints and our Guardian Angels to pray while we sleep so that our heartbeats and breaths will be as prayers united to theirs (this will keep us in unceasing prayer even through the night)?

Are we giving to God, in the name of everyone all the Glory they should give Him praying, excusing them, making reparation for each one in particular, descending into their minds, intelligence’s, glances, words, movements, hands, hearts, footsteps, uniting them to the Humanity of Jesus to satisfy the Father.

Do we “pay attention” to Jesus when reading or hearing His words or do we allow our minds to wander?  Jesus says, “Be more attentive…and follow the Will of your Jesus, because watchfulness will show you where you are and what you are doing”  “…attention is the path to knowledge”  “…..be attentive, because it is important; it is about the most important thing that exists in Heaven and on earth..”

Are we reading the Volumes to learn from Jesus so we may gain in the knowledge He wants to give us?  Regarding knowledge Jesus tells us, “This knowledge will be like fertilizer to a tree, enabling the fruit to mature upon which creatures will feed.” “  Knowledge will make you appreciate and esteem more highly the Divine palace of My  Will .”  “…vigilance is the path of knowledge.  Knowledge changes the person and things disposing him to receive great gifts”  “Knowledge is the eye of the soul; the soul without knowledge is blind concerning those goods and truths.  In my Will there are no blind souls; rather, each new acquisition of knowledge leads them to a broader perspective.  Enter often, therefore into my Will, Broaden your horizons in My Will and, as I see this, I will return to tell you more about My Will.” “Knowledge prepares the way.  Knowledge is as the contract that I want to make for the gift which I wish to give, and for however much knowledge enters into the soul, so much more is she stimulated to desire the gift….”

Are we thinking more of our brothers and sisters rather than ourselves?  Luisa:  “He also taught me how to love creatures without ever separating myself from Him by seeing each person as an image of God.  If some good came to me, I was to recognize that He used the creature to lavish that good upon me.  If, on the other hand, it happened that I receive evil or harm, I was to think that God permitted it for my spiritual or bodily good.”  When I saw Him and His image in creatures, I could not loose esteem for them.  If they mortified me, I felt obliged to love them in God’s image and believe that they would acquire merits for my soul.”

Do we ask Our Lady to do everything with us - to give us her heart to love Jesus more, to give us her arms to hold Him, to give us the words to say to Him, etc?  (Prayer of Our Holy Father)

Are we accepting all that Jesus gives us - sufferings, trials, etc?  with a smile and joy in our hearts that He allows us to be like Him?  Do we way “Fiat” to everything and mean it?

Are we willing to change at a moments notice if Jesus asks us to do something else?

Do we recognize our nothingness?   From Vol. 1:  “So that I can pour my graces into your heart, it is necessary for you to convince yourself that by yourself you are nothing and are capable of nothing.  I look with much approval and bestow gifts and graces on souls that are wary of attributing to themselves the good effects that result from their own works made in correspondence to My graces.

How much do we desire and want to possess the Divine Will in us?  Jesus:  “…first I want to see that the soul truly wants to do My Will and never her own, that she is ready to sacrifice anything to do Mine, and that in all she does she asks Me always, even on loan, the Gift of My Volition.”

Are we taking time for adoration and meditation each day?   If  we wanted to know someone with whom we were living, we would observe his acts, his gestures; we would listen to his words; we would keep our eyes constantly focused on him and watch everything he does; we would examine his works; we would put ourselves as much as possible in contact with him.   Meditation attracts God to converse with the soul.  Luisa meditated on the Passion constantly.  She says regarding meditation on the Passion, “All the good I have received has come from this source of good and love.”  (On the Hours of the Passion, Jesus says: “How attentively and respectfully must the soul do these Hours, thanking that the Angels hang from their lips in order to repeat that which she says right after her.”  “…whoever always thinks on my Passion forms a fountain in his heart and the more he thinks on It, the more this fountain flows. In vol. 3 Jesus says, “Oral prayer serves to maintain correspondence, Interior meditation must serve as food to maintain the conversation between God and the soul.”

Are we asking Jesus, Our Blessed Mother, and Luisa to pray with us to the Father begging for His Kingdom to come and His will to be done on earth as it is in Heaven, for all mankind?

Are we praying for the Holy Spirit to guide and direct our souls in the attainment of the gifts of the virtues?

Are we aware of and recognize the gifts we receive each day and immediately thank God for them?  (Example:  You have a question about something regarding the Divine Will and are answered immediately)

Are we obedient to the teachings of our Holy Catholic Church, our Holy Father and our superiors?  In vol. 8 Jesus tells us: “Obedience is the space of my dwelling within the soul.  Where there isn’t this space of obedience, I could say that there is no place for Me inside of that soul; and I am forced to remain outside.”  “ The Will of God makes one take possession of the Divine, but obedience is the key to open the door and enter this possession.

Are we saying our Consecration daily or as much as possible?  Are we praying for the Beatification of Luisa?

PRAYING IN THE DIVINE WILL

When asked the way she used to enter into the Divine Will, Luisa responded briefly:  “To enter into the Divine Will, above all it is necessary for me to forget myself, my will, my interests – which for me no longer exist, and to preoccupy myself only with the interests of Jesus; that my everything disappear, and that in the Will of Jesus – the Love, the Prayers, the Reparations of Jesus Himself become mine.  Thus, everything that is His becomes mine: His Will too is mine;  and since in the Divine Will there are all goods past, present and future, thus all these goods, too, become mine.  To live in the Divine Will is to live on all that Jesus possesses.  But the “all” does not consist in a formula.  It was told to me that the soul must enter into the Divine Will at the cost of whatever sacrifice, when God asks it; and the greater the sacrifices to enter into the Divine Will, the more perfect will become the transformation and the acquisition that it will make.  To practice entering into the Divine Will with repeated formulas and with repeated intentions in all acts, even minimal, in so far as one can, is acceptable to God, and is a setting out toward this Divine Transformation, whereby the creature acts and operates in the Divine Will.”

JESUS SPEAKS TO US OF OUR NOTHINGNESS,

HUMILITY, AND HOW TO PRAY

(Volume 1)

On our nothingness:  “So that I can pour my graces into your heart, it is necessary for you to convince yourself that by yourself you are nothing and are capable of nothing.  I look with much approval, and bestow gifts and graces on souls that are wary of attributing to themselves the good effects that result from their own works made in correspondence to my graces.  The souls that consider my gifts and graces given to them by my Love - to have been acquired by themselves, are committing many thefts.” (Also in Vol. 19, pg. 46-46)

On humility:  Jesus says to Luisa, “If you had been more humble and closer to Me you would not have done that work so poorly.  But because you thought you could begin, continue and end the work without Me, you succeeded - despite your regret - but not according to my wish.  Therefore, ask for my assistance at the start of everything you undertake.  Always have Me present to work with you and it will be completed with perfection.  Know that if you always do this you will acquire the greatest humility.  If you do the opposite, pride will reenter you and choke the seed of the beautiful virtue of humility that has been sown in you.

Jesus says, “Say to me often, ‘Lord, give me the grace to do well, from beginning to end, all that I want to undertake solely for You.  I no longer want to be a slave to creatures.’  Do this so that when you walk, speak, work, or do any other thing, you will do it solely for my satisfaction and pleasure.  When you experience mortification’s, hurts and contradictions, I want you to have your eyes fixed on Me and believe that it all comes from Me and not from creatures.”  (From Vol. 1)

On dryness in prayer (when unable to pray or meditate):  “At prayer, when you do not feel recollected, think of nothing and be at peace.  Do not think about why your prayer is unsuccessful, because this causes more distraction.  Instead, humble yourself, believe in the merits of suffering and remain tranquil.  Offer to Me your disappointments, boredom and distress as a sacrifice of praise, satisfaction, and reparation for the offenses done to Me.  Your prayer will then rise like fragrant incense to My throne.

Prayer of Pope John Paul II

Immaculate Conception, Mary, my Mother,

Live in me, act in me, speak in and through me,

Think your thoughts in my mind,

Love through my heart,

Give me your dispositions and feelings,

Teach, lead, and guide me to Jesus,

Correct, enlighten, and expand my thoughts and behavior,

Possess my soul,

Take over my entire personality and life,

Replace it with Yourself,

Incline me to constant

adoration and thanksgiving.

Pray in me and through me.

Let me live in you, and keep me

in this union always.  Amen.

Great Difference between Living in the Divine Will and Doing the Divine Will

The Great Difference Between Living in the Divine Will

and Doing the Divine Will

Volume 3 - July 10, 1900

Difference between living for God and living in God.

While I was in the same confusion, He made Himself seen like a flash and made me understand that I had not written everything He had told me the day before – that is, that the soul must not only live for God, but in God.  So, blessed Jesus repeated to me the difference that exists between living for God and living in God, saying to me:  “In living for God, the soul can be subject to disturbances, to bitternesses, to being inconstant, to feeling the weight of passions, to meddle in earthly things.  But the living in God – no, it is completely different, because the most important thing so that one person may enter to dwell inside another person is to lay down all that belongs to him – that is, to strip himself of everything, to leave his own passions; in a word, to leave everything in order to find everything in God.

Now, when the soul has not only stripped herself, but has slimmed down well, then will she be able to enter through the narrow door of my Heart to live in Me, according to my way and from my own Life.  In fact, even though my Heart is immense, so much so, that there is no end to Its boundaries, Its door, however, is extremely narrow, and only one who is stripped of everything can enter into It.  This, with reason, because since I am Most Holy, I would never admit anything to live in Me which is extraneous to my sanctity.  Therefore, my daughter, try to live in Me and you will possess Paradise in advance.”

Who can say how much I understood of this living in God?  But then He disappeared and I was left in my same state.

Volume 12 - August 14, 1917

Jesus did nothing other than give Himself prey to the Will of the Father.  Difference between living resigned to the Will of God, and living in His Will.

As I was in my usual state, my sweet Jesus just barely came, passing by, and told me:  “My daughter, I did nothing other than give Myself prey to the Will of the Father.  Therefore, if I thought, I thought in the mind of the Father; if I spoke, I spoke in the mouth and with the tongue of the Father; if I worked, I worked in the hands of the Father.  I even breathed my breathing in Him, and everything I did was ordered the way He wanted.  Therefore, I could say that I carried out my Life in the Father, and that I was the bearer of the Father, because I enclosed everything in His Will and I did nothing by Myself.  My main point was the Will of the Father, because I did not care about Myself, nor did I interrupt my course because of the offenses I received; rather, I kept flying more and more toward my center.  Only then did my natural Life end, when I fulfilled the Will of the Father in everything.

The same for you, my daughter.  If you give yourself prey to my Will, you will no longer have concerns for anything.  The very privation of Me, which torments you and consumes you so much, flowing in my Will, will find support, my hidden kisses, my Life in you, clothed with you.  In your very heartbeat you will feel Mine - burning and sorrowful; and if you don’t see Me, you feel Me; my arms hold you tightly.  How many times you feel my motion, my refreshing breath, which refreshes your ardors!  You do feel all this; and when you try to see who squeezed you, who breathes on you, and you do not see Me, I smile at you, I kiss you with the kisses of my Will, and I hide more within you, in order to surprise you again, and let you jump once more into my Will.  Therefore, do not sadden Me by afflicting yourself - but let Me do.  May the flight of my Volition never cease in you; otherwise you would hinder my Life within you.  On the other hand, as you live in my Will, I do not find any hindrance, and I make my Life grow, and I carry out my Life as I want.”

Now, out of obedience, I want to say a few words on the difference between living resigned to the Divine Will, and living in the Divine Will.

First:  living resigned.  According to my poor opinion, this means to be resigned to the Divine Will in everything, both in prosperous and in adverse circumstances, seeing in everything the Divine Will, the order of the divine dispositions which the Divine Will has over all creatures, such that not even one hair can fall from our head if the Lord does not want it so.

It seems to me like a good son, who goes wherever his Father wants, and suffers whatever his Father wants.  Poor or rich, it is indifferent to him; he is happy just being what his Father wants.  If he receives or asks for an order to go somewhere to carry out some business, he goes only because his Father wanted it so.  But in the meantime, he has to take some refreshment, stop to rest, have some food, deal with people; therefore he has to put much from his own will, even though he goes because his Father wanted it.  However, in many things he finds himself in the circumstance of doing them by himself; so it may happen that he is far away from his Father for days, for months, without receiving specification of the Will of his Father in all things.

Therefore, for one who lives resigned to the Divine Will, it is almost impossible not to mix his own will with It.  He will be a good son; however, he will not have the thoughts, the words and the life of his Father fully portrayed within himself, in everything.  In fact, since he has to go, return, follow and deal with people, love is already broken - because only a continuous union makes love grow, and it never breaks - and the current of the Will of the Father is not in continuous communication with the current of the will of the son.  During those intervals the son may get used to doing his own will.  However, I believe that this is the first step toward sanctity.

Second:  living in the Divine Will.  I would like the hand of my Jesus to write this.  Ah, He alone could say all the beauty, the goodness and the sanctity of living in the Divine Will!  I am not capable; I have many concepts in my mind, but I lack the words.  My Jesus, pour Yourself into my word, and I will say what I can.

Living in the Divine Will means being inseparable, doing nothing by oneself, because in the face of the Divine Will one feels incapable of anything.  He does not ask for orders, nor does he receive them, because he feels incapable of going by himself.  So he says:  ‘If You want me to do this, let us do it together, and if You want me to go, let us go together.’  Therefore, he does all that his Father does.  If the Father thinks, he makes the thoughts of the Father his own, and does not add one thought to those of his Father.  If the Father looks, if He speaks, if He works, if He walks, if He suffers, if He loves, he too looks at what the Father is looking at; he repeats the words of the Father; he works with the hands of the Father; he walks with the feet of the Father; he suffers the same pains of the Father, and he loves with the love of the Father.  He lives inside his Father, not outside of Him; therefore, he is the reflection and the perfect portrait of his Father - which is not, for the one who lives only resigned.  It is impossible to find this son without his Father, nor the Father without him; and not only externally, but all his interior is as though interwoven with the interior of the Father - transformed, dissolved completely, completely, in God.

Oh, the rapid and sublime flights of this child in the Divine Will!  This Divine Will is immense; in every instant It circulates within everyone; It gives life and order to everything.  And the soul, wandering within this immensity, flies to all, helps all, loves all, but as Jesus Himself helps and loves - which cannot be done by one who lives only resigned.

Therefore, one who lives in the Divine Will finds it impossible to do things by himself; even more, he feels nausea for his human works, though holy, because in the Divine Will all things, even the smallest ones, take on a different look.  They acquire nobility, splendor, Divine sanctity, Divine power and beauty; they multiply to infinity, and in one instant one does everything.  And after he has done everything, he says:  ‘I have done nothing - Jesus did.  And this is all my contentment:  that, miserable as I am, Jesus gave me the honor to keep me in the Divine Will, to let me do what He Himself has done.’  Therefore, the enemy cannot bother this child - whether he has done well or badly, little or much - because Jesus Himself did everything, and he together with Jesus.  He is the most peaceful one; he is not subject to anxiety; he loves no one and loves everyone - but divinely.  One can say that he is the repeater of the Life of Jesus, the organ of His voice, the heartbeat of His Heart, the sea of His graces.

True Sanctity, I believe, consists only in this.  All other things are shadows, larvae, specters of sanctity.

In the Divine Will, virtues take their place in the Divine order; while, outside of It, in the human order, they are subject to self-esteem, to vainglory, to passions.  Oh! how many good works, how many attended Sacraments are to be cried over before God, and to be repaired, because they are empty of  Divine Will, and therefore without fruits.  Heaven willing that all would understand true sanctity.  Oh! how all other things would disappear.

So, many find themselves on the false way of sanctity.  Many place it in the pious practices of piety - and woe to those who move them!  Oh, how they deceive themselves!  If their wills are not united with Jesus and transformed in Him - which is the continuous prayer - with all of their pious practices their sanctity is false.  And it shows how these souls pass very easily from pious practices to defects, to amusements, to the sowing of discord, and other things.  Oh, how dishonoring this kind of sanctity is!  Others place it in going to church, in attending all the services, but their will is far from Jesus.  And it shows how these souls have little care for their own duties; and if they are hindered, they get angry, they cry that their sanctity goes up in the air.  They complain, they disobey, they are the wounds of families.  Oh! what a fake sanctity.  Others place it in frequent confessions, in scrupulous spiritual directions, in having scruples for everything; but they do not have any scruple if their will does not run together with the Will of Jesus - and woe to those who contradict them!  These souls are like inflated balloons:  a little hole is enough for the air to come out, and their sanctity goes up in smoke, and falls to the ground.  These poor balloons always have something to say; they are mostly inclined to sadness.  They live always in doubt, and therefore would like to have a director for themselves, who would advise them, give them peace and console them in every little thing.  But they are soon more agitated than before.  Poor sanctity, how forged it is.

I would like the tears of my Jesus in order to cry together with Him over these false sanctities, and make everyone know how true sanctity is in doing the Divine Will and in living in the Divine Volition.

This sanctity puts its roots so deeply that there is no danger that it may oscillate, because it fills Heaven and earth, and finds its support everywhere.  This soul is firm, not subject to inconstancies or voluntary defects.  She is attentive to her duties; she is the most sacrificed and detached from everyone and everything, even from spiritual directions themselves; and since her roots are deep, she rises up so high that the flowers and fruits bloom in Heaven.  She is so hidden in God that the earth sees little or nothing of this soul.  The Divine Will keeps her absorbed within Itself; only Jesus is the author, the life, the form of the sanctity of this enviable creature.  She has nothing of her own, but everything is in common with Jesus.  Her passion is the Divine Will; her characteristic is the Will of her Jesus, and ‘FIAT’ is her continuous motto.

On the other hand, the poor and false sanctity of the balloons is subject to continuous inconstancies, and while it appears that the balloons of their sanctity swell up so much as to seem to be flying in the air at a certain height, to the point that many, and even their directors, are amazed - soon they are disillusioned.  One humiliation, one favor of the directors toward someone else, is enough to deflate these balloons, because they see this as a theft against them, considering themselves the neediest.  So, while having scruples for silly things, they then reach the point of disobeying.  Jealousy is the woodworm of these balloons, which, consuming the good they do, keeps sucking air from them, and the poor balloon deflates and falls to the ground, reaching the point of dirtying itself with earth.  Then the sanctity that was in the balloon appears.  And what can one find in it?  Love of self, resentment, passions, hidden under the aspect of good, almost to have occasion to say:  they have become the amusement of the devil; so, of all their sanctity, nothing was found but a mass of defects, apparently disguised as virtues.  But then, who can say everything?  Only Jesus knows the worst evils of this fake sanctity, of this devout life without foundation, because it leans on false piety.  These fake sanctities are spiritual vines without fruit - sterile, and cause of who knows how much crying for my lovable Jesus.  They are the ill feeling of society, the worry of very directors, and of families.  One can say that they bring with themselves a noxious air that harms everyone.

Oh! how so very different is the sanctity of the soul who lives in the Divine Will!  These souls are the smile of Jesus.  They are far away from everyone, even from the very directors.  Only Jesus is everything for them; therefore, nobody worries for them.  The beneficial air which they possess embalms everyone; they are the order and the harmony of everyone.  Jesus, jealous of these souls, becomes actor and spectator of whatever they do – there is not one heartbeat, breath, or thought which He does not regulate and dominate.  Jesus keeps this soul so absorbed in the Divine Will that she can hardly remember that she is living in exile.

The Veil 3

March, 1995 (St. Paul of the Cross, North Palm Bch., FL)

During Adoration while praying with my eyes closed, my vision was filled with a incredible bright light.  From within this light, I saw what appeared to be a very large chair with a high back and side arms. It was as though looking through a fog of light.  I then saw vaguely an outline of a person engulfed in the light.  As the light was very bright, it was hard to see clearly.  While looking into the light, I began to think of our Heavenly Father and a prayer welled up within me to Him.  Then I said, “How can people not know that you are their Father, their Daddy.  How can they think of you as being anything other than that. “   (people at that time had been calling Our Father – Father-Mother, and it bothered me – which is probably the reason for my saying what I did)  Continuing to see this vision before me,  I was startled to hear Him say, “Love them as I love them!”  A little while later I heard, “The veil will soon come down.”  For some reason I didn’t want to listen anymore as I felt within me that He was going to say something else, so I began praying again so as not to listen, but again He spoke saying, “The veil will soon come down.  Then you will see wonders as you have never seen.”  Moments later He said, “I Am (slight pause) Yahweh”  All of this must have taken about 20 minutes (I was in the Adoration Chapel at the time), and was as if in slow motion.  The voice speaking to me was so loving and tender!  He spoke very slowly and clearly.  My body felt as thought I were no longer in the Chapel, but when someone came in the door I was aware of their presence.  After leaving the Chapel for Mass, I felt such incredible peace which I continued to feel throughout the day.  During Mass at the elevation of the Host, I saw a bright light come out of the back of the Host facing the Priest.  After communion, very bright lights were flashing in my head – mostly coming from the right side and many shadows appeared.

Late the next night, my husband asked me for this message and while reading it said he didn’t understand what “The veil will soon come down” meant (which I also didn’t understand)  He had just prayed for an answer, and while we were watching EWTN there was a Bishop who was showing a picture of Pope Leo XIII.  In the picture there was a lady who was wearing a veil on her head.  Her hands were on the veil looking as though she were going to pull it down over her face.  The Bishop went on to explain that this represented a death approaching or that Rom or a civilization was coming to an end – or that there was going to be a new time approaching.  Lynne Bauer

 Update: (10/22/15)

Today during Adoration, I opened at random Vol. 22 of the Book of Heaven and read:

“Therefore, if you want to know what my Will does in all Creation, go around it It, and my Fiat, finding Its daughter in all created things, will unveil Itself and will tell you what It does toward the Divine Majesty and the call and the lessons It wants to give to the creatures.”

And again opening at random read the following:

“…do you know who tears these veils to let It come out to dominate in her own heart?  One who recognizes It in each one of my acts and invites It to come out.  She tears the veil of my works, she enters into them, she recognizes the noble Queen, and she prays It – she presses It to no longer remain hidden; and opening her heart to It, she invites It to enter. She tears the veil of my tears, of my Blood, of my pains, the veil of the Sacraments, the veil of my Humanity,  and giving her submission to It, she implores It to no longer remain veiled, but to make Itself known as Queen….”

“Grace strips the soul of everything, and makes of her humanity a veil with which to remain covered, in such a way that, as the veil is torn, one finds paradise in the soul who possesses Her. So, it is no wonder that true humility, obedience and the like are found in that soul, because there is nothing left of her but a simple veil, and one can see with clarity how it is all Grace that acts within her, that keeps all virtues in order for her, and makes her remain in continuous attitude toward God”.

“My daughter, if you did otherwise you would lose the purity of eye, and as a veil would form before your sight, you would lose the good of seeing Me. In fact, the eye that delights only in the things of Heaven has the virtue of seeing Me, while one who delights in the things of the earth has the virtue of seeing the things of the earth, because his eye, in seeing them as different from what they are, sees them and loves them.”

“My daughter, it is necessary to operate through the veil of the Humanity of Christ in order to find the Divinity – that is, to operate united with His Humanity, with the very Will of Christ, as if His Will and that of the soul were one, in order to please Him alone; operating with His very ways, directing everything to Christ, calling Him in everything the soul does, as if He Himself were to do her very actions. By doing this, the soul finds herself in continuous contact with God. In fact, for Christ, His Humanity was nothing other than a sort of veil that covered the Divinity; therefore, by operating in the midst of these veils, she already finds herself with God. One who does not want to operate through His Most Holy Humanity and wants to find Christ, is like one who wants to find the fruit without finding the skin – it is impossible.”

“… the first Fiat was pronounced in Creation without the intervention of any creature. The second Fiat was pronounced in Redemption, and I wanted the intervention of the creature, and I chose my Mama as fulfillment of the second Fiat. Now, in fulfillment, I want to pronounce the third Fiat, and I want to pronounce It through you; I have chosen you for the fulfillment of the third Fiat. This third Fiat will bring to completion the glory and the honor of the Fiat of Creation, and will be confirmation and development of the fruits of the Fiat of Redemption. These three Fiats will veil the Most Holy Trinity upon earth, and I will have the ‘Fiat Voluntas Tua on earth as it is in Heaven’. These three Fiats will be inseparable - one will be life of the other; They will be one and triune, but distinct among Themselves. My Love wants it, my Glory demands it: having unleashed the first two Fiats from the womb of my creative power, It wants to unleash the third Fiat, for my Love can no longer contain It – and this, in order to complete the work that came out of Me; otherwise, the work of Creation and of Redemption would remain incomplete.”

“…as she advances in the practice of living in my Will this divine life keeps growing and expanding, to the point of filling the soul with all of this life, in such a way that nothing is left of her but a veil that covers it and hides it within itself.

June 15, 1933, Vol. 32

“Now if you call my Divine Will as life of your mind, as beat of your heart, as action of your hands and so on, you will form the life of the intelligence of my Will in your mind, the life of his actions in your hands, his divine step in your feet, in a way that all that which you will do, will serve as veil to the Divine life, that with your intention you have formed in the interior of your acts. But what is this intention? It is your will that appealing to mine, empties itself of itself, and forms the void in its act, in order to give the post to the action of my Will, and she making herself veil, hides even in the most ordinary and natural actions, the extraordinary action of a God, so much so that from outside one sees common actions, but if one takes away the veil of the human volition one finds enclosed the operative virtue of the divine action, and this forms the sanctity of the creature, not the diversity of actions, not the works that make noise, no, but common life, the necessary actions of life, of which the creature can do no less, they are all veils that can hide our Will, and make itself field, where God himself abases himself, in order to make himself (the) hidden actor of his divine actions. And as the body veils the soul, thus the will veils God, it hides him and forms through means of ordinary actions the chain of the extraordinary actions of God in her soul. Therefore be attentive, call in all that which you do my Will and He will never deny you his act, in order to form in you, for how much it is possible, the fullness of his sanctity.”

Nov. 24, 1935, Vol. 33

“Now with withdrawing his Life, all things and works of God remained, veiled for man. He himself, veiled the intelligence, the memory, the will, he remained as those poor unhappy dying ones, that covering the pupil of the eye with a thin veil, they don’t see clearly anymore the life of the light. My Divinity itself in descending from Heaven in earth, veiled itself with my Humanity. Oh! If creatures might possess as Life my Will, immediately they would have known Me, because He himself would have unvealed who I was, my Volition in her and that same Divine Volition in Me they would have immediately known, loved each other, they would have made crowds around Me, nor would they have been able to separate from Me, recognizing me under the likeness of their cast offs as Word Eternal, He who loved them so much, that he had dressed himself as one of them. So that I would have had no need to manifest myself, my Will residing in them, would have revealed Me, nor would I have been able to hide myself instead I had to tell them who I was, and how many did not believe Me? Therefore, even to such that my Will doesn’t reign in creatures everything is veiled, the Sacraments themselves, that more than a new Creation with so much love I left in my Church, are veiled for them.  How many surprises, how many beautiful secrets, and marvelous things a veiled pupil impedes one from understanding, from seeing, from tasting.  More so that this veil is the human volition that forms and impedes her from seeing the things that are in herself. Whence my Will reigning in creatures as life will take away this veil and all things will be revealed, and then they will see the caresses that we make them through means of created things, the kisses, the loving embraces, in every single created thing they will feel our ardent heartbeat that loves them, they will see in the Sacraments our Life flow, in order to give itself continually to them and they will feel the need of giving themselves to Us. This will be the great prodigy that my Divine Will will do, to break all the veils, to abound with unheard of graces, to take possession of souls as proper life, in a way that no one will be able to resist him and thus he will have his kingdom upon the earth.”

From “To My Priests”, Conchita deArmida pg. 154:

“…the more the veil that hides the Divinity will be transparent for them, they will know the Father more deeply and will glorify Him in all their actions...”

From MMP, to Fr. Gobbi, Aug. 5, 1997:

“Climb with me the holy mountain of grace and holiness, that you may be illuminated and transfigured by the glorious light of my Son Jesus.”  “As He was transfigured on Mount Tabor in the presence of the three Apostles, Peter, James and John, so also will He manifest Himself to you in the splendor of His Divine glory.” “ When the Word became flesh in my virginal womb, His divine splendor was completely veiled by the humanity He assumed.  Thus His divinity was hidden by His humanity.”  “When Jesus will return in His divine glory and appear to all humanity, each one will be called to undergo the same experience as Peter, James and John underwent on Mount Tabor, because Jesus will manifest Himself in His splendor, and His humanity will be completely transfigured in the most brilliant light of His divinity.

Benefits of Meditating on the Passion of our Lord Jesus Christ

Benefits of meditating

on the Passion of our Lord Jesus Christ

in the writings of Servant of God Luisa Piccarreta

Vol. 6, June 5, 1905
"My daughter, crosses, mortifications, are as many baptismal founts, and any kind of cross which is dipped in the thought of my Passion loses half of its bitterness and its weight decreases by half ...
What is not my consolation in seeing, redone in you, what my Humanity did many centuries ago.  In fact, everything which I established for each soul to do, was done in my Humanity before, and if the soul corresponds to Me, what I did for her she does again within herself; but if she does not, it remains done only in Me, and I feel an inexpressible bitterness."

Vol. 7, November 9, 1906
Finding myself in my usual state, I was thinking about the Passion of Our Lord; and while I was doing this, He came and told me:
"My daughter, one who meditates continuously on my Passion and feels sorrow for it and compassion for Me, pleases Me so much that I feel as though comforted for all that I suffered in the course of my Passion; and by always meditating on it, the soul arrives at preparing a continuous food.  In this food there are many different spices and flavors, which form different effects.
So, if in the course of my Passion they gave Me ropes and chains to tie Me, the soul releases Me and gives Me freedom.  They despised Me, spat on Me, and dishonored Me; she appreciates Me, cleans Me of that spittle, and honors Me.  They stripped Me and scourged Me; she heals Me and clothes Me.  They crowned Me with thorns, mocking Me as king, embittered my mouth with bile, and crucified Me; while the soul, meditating on all my pains, crowns Me with glory and honors Me as her king, fills my mouth with sweetness, giving Me the most delicious food, which is the memory of my own works; and unnailing Me from the Cross, she makes Me rise again in her heart.  And every time she does so, I give her a new life of grace as recompense.  She is my food, and I become her continuous food.  So, the thing that pleases Me the most is meditating continuously on my Passion."

Vol. 11, March 24, 1913
"My daughter, the thought of my Passion never escaped my dear Mama, and by dint of repeating it, she filled all of Herself with Me, completely.  The same happens to the soul:  by dint of repeating what I suffered, she arrives at filling herself with Me."

Vol. 11, April 23, 1916
"My daughter, each pain I suffered, each drop of Blood, each wound, prayer, word, action, step, etc., produced a light within my Humanity, which embellished Me in such a way as to keep all the Blessed enraptured.  Now, at each thought that the soul has about my Passion, at each act of compassion, reparation, etc., she does nothing other than draw light from my Humanity, and be embellished in my likeness.  So, each additional thought about my Passion will be one more light which will bring her eternal joy."

Vol. 13, October 21, 1921
I was thinking about the Passion of my sweet Jesus, and upon coming, He told me:
"My daughter, every time the soul thinks about my Passion, remembers what I suffered, or compassionates Me, the application of my pains is renewed in her; my Blood rises to inundate her, and my wounds place themselves on the way to heal her if she is wounded, or to embellish her if she is healthy – and all my merits, to enrich her.
The traffic she produces is surprising - it is as if she placed everything I did and suffered in a bank, and collected twice as much.  In fact, everything I did and suffered is in continuous act of giving itself to man, just as the sun is in continuous act of giving light and heat to the earth.  My operating is not subject to exhaustion; if the soul just wants it so, and as many times as she wants it, she receives the fruit of my Life.  So, if she remembers my Passion twenty, a hundred - a thousand times, so many more times will she enjoy the effects of It.  But how few are those who treasure It!  With all the good of my Passion, one can see souls who are weak, blind, deaf, mute, crippled - living cadavers, such as to be disgusting - because my Passion is put into oblivion.  My pains, my wounds, my Blood, are strength that removes weaknesses, light that gives sight to the blind, tongue that loosens the tongues and opens the hearing, way that straightens the crippled, life that raises the cadavers.
All the remedies that are needed for the whole of humanity are in my Life and Passion.  But the creature despises the medicine and does not care about the remedies; and this is why one can see, in spite of my Redemption, the state of man perishing, as though affected by an incurable consumption.  But what grieves Me the most is to see religious people who tire themselves out in order to acquire doctrines, speculations, stories - but about my Passion, nothing.  So, many times my Passion is banished from the churches, from the mouths of the priests; therefore, their speech is without light, and the peoples remain more starved than before."
